Well, we’ve all made it back to school, and have all learned a new thing or two already in 2015. It has been a great experience for me meeting students, parents, and staff at West Langley Elementary, and I am excited to be going on this learning journey together.
I’m trying hard to figure out all of Mr. Davids’ online systems, and I think I have them mostly figured out, but if I don’t send you something in a format you usually see, please let me know.

Notice of Motion for Potential Closure of Langley Secondary School
A Notice of Motion on December 16, 2014 to consider the potential closure of Langley Secondary School (LSS) has been served by the Board of Education in order to initiate the closure consultation process as outlined in Policy No. 5029. The potential closure of Langley Secondary School is included in a number of possible scenarios outlined in the District’s Long Term Facilities plan. With this notice, the Board will begin public consultation so that should a recommendation arise in which closure of LSS becomes part of the implementation of the Long Term Facilities plan, the District will have followed the procedures in Policy. The notice of motion does not mean the school will be closed, merely that the possible closure will be considered at a future open Regular Meeting of the Board of Education.
Information on the Notice of Motion for Potential Closure of LSS and the Long Term Facilities Plan is available at www.sd35.bc.ca/ltfp.

Interesting Things to Read
I'm not sure I'll be "Scooping" like Mr. Davids did, but I will throw in a few links every now and then. To be honest, I didn't read a lot last week. I'm mostly proud I didn't drive on autopilot to my old school, frankly. :)
This one resonated with me, though, as the parent of a 10-year-old and a 12-year-old, both of whom might already be in the 'too cool' category, on some days at least.
