Hopefully everyone enjoyed a great extra long weekend. Was a great time to rest, relax and hopefully get out and do something fun. We have a very short week, but still lots going on, so please be sure to read the information below carefully.
Information To Share:
- Remembrance Day Assembly: We will be having our school Remembrance Day assembly on Wednesday at 1:00pm. This is an important time for us to reflect on those who have provided the world we live in today and instil hope in our students for a future full of peace. Parents are welcome to join us.
- Movie Afternoon:m Our Grade 7s will be hosting their first movie afternoon of the year. After school on Thursday from 2:45 - 4:30 students and families can come to our gym to enjoy XXXX Tickets are $3.00 for admission and there will be a concession stand at the show.
- Professional Learning: During the past week, I have “scooped” a few professional learning articles, websites and videos to Lions Lowdown: Professional Learning at West Langley Elementary. Be sure to check out the following:

- Notepad/Decal/label orders… last chance to order is Wednesday Nov 12th at 830am. Please drop any of these late orders to the office.
- ALSO, Wed Nov 12th at 9:00AM is the last minute that you can order Hot Lunch and Treat Days for November and December. Lots of great choices to look forward to! Check out Munchalunch.com or see the office for paper order forms.
- Coming home this week… our final Christmas fundraiser. Plan for parties and gifts by ordering from Neufelds (appys, meals, and treats) or from an assortment of Gift Cards! Let us help make your entertaining and gift giving a bit easier this year!!!
- Annual Library Book Fair - November 25-27… watch your inboxes as we will be looking for some parents to volunteer to help 'man' (or 'woman') a shift or two at the library book fair. Before school, during lunch or afterschool spots are available. Info to come on this…. (volunteers receive the coveted special invite to the Scholastic Warehouse Sale in early December… you will want this…) Thanks to Lareina and Sarah for helping to organize our volunteers.
