Information to Share:
- Walking To School: Now that we are in Spring Time and the weather is improving, we really want to encourage our families to choose to walk to school. Most of us are within only a few blocks and along with the added physical benefits of a walk first thing in the morning, it will really help with safety on our roads and in our parking lot.
- Hot Lunch Ordering: Just a reminder that we have a new online ordering system for hot lunches for the rest of this year. You can register your family by clicking here as well as order lunches. More information is available here.
- 2014/2015 School Calendar: Just before Spring Break, the Trustees approved the calendar for the upcoming school year. A letter to families will come home Monday and you can access the calendar by clicking here. You will notice that the district has created collaboration time for staff by moving some of our full professional development days into six "late starts" for students. This not only has children in school three more days than previous years but, more importantly, creates the opportunity for staffs to collaborate with one another to make learning even better for West Langley students. If you have any questions about the calendar, please contact Mr. Davids.
- Professional Learning At West Langley: During the past week, I have “scooped” a few professional learning articles, websites and videos to Lions Lowdown: Professional Learning at West Langley Elementary. Be sure to check out the following:
