Hopefully all of you had a great weekend. Crazy to think there are only 4 weeks until our Christmas break. It has been a very crazy ride thus far and a few busy days ahead of us before the break. We have another busy one coming up so please read everything below.
Information To Share:
Collaboration Late Start: This Tuesday, November 25th, we will be having another district-wide late start for staff collaboration. This valuable time means students start school 80 minutes later at 9:50am
Scholastic Book Fair: The Book Fair will be in our library this week. It is open for students and parents on Tuesday (lunch, after school), Wednesday (before school, lunch, after school) and Thursday (before school, lunch, after school).
Games Club Cancelled: Due to the Scholastic Book Fair, there will be no games club this week.
Adopted Families: We will once again be adopting two families through the Langley Christmas Bureau this year. The information regarding our families can be found by clicking here. As always, your support with families is greatly appreciated.
Christmas Concert: Just a reminder our Christmas Concert, "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" is on December 10th. We will have a show at 1:00 and another at 6:30. We will not be distributing tickets to families thi s year. Instead, we strongly request that if you are able to attend the daytime show, you do so, leaving room for those who are only able to atten d the evening show after work. This will allow everyone to have a chance to see this great festive production
Student Fundraiser: Next Thursday the great coaches at Elevate Basketball Camps are hosting a fundraising game to support Ronin's Me To We leadership & volunteer trip in 2015. These great guys are throwing this amazing event together along with local church groups, parents, students and educators. We are promising, prizes, fun, entertainment and of course - a really great basketball game! Entry is by donation. All money raised will be going to the Me To We trip. Ronin would be thrilled if you and your family could attend. Thursday, November 27th, RE Mountain Secondary, 4:00pm
Professional Learning: During the past week, I have “scooped” a few professional learning articles, websites and videos to Lions Lowdown: Professional Learning at West Langley Elementary. Be sure to check out the following:

From The PAC:
Hey West Langleyites!
It's a quiet week, PAC wise, but still some things to update you on!
BOOK FAIR!!!! Runs this Tuesday at lunch and after school… Then Wednesday and Thursday before school, lunch, and after school. Thanks to the parents who have volunteered to help out! Be sure to come check it out!!!
THIS WEEK… Friday is treat day! Booster Juice, a kid favourite!!!
Wrapping, wrapping, wrapping… if you didn't have a chance to review the email sent out earlier this week, we have the opportunity to participate in the donation based gift wrapping services at Willowbrook Mall this season. The more help we can offer to them, the more our school will receive back for our playground fund. If you might be able to spare a 4 hour shift (daytime or evening or weekend) or have any questions, please get in touch with me!
As always…. [email protected] (oh, and Cobs bread…….another plug….)
